Letter from Rabbi Chai Levy -

Dear Friend,

I'm thrilled that you're considering joining us. I look forward to sharing the beauty of Jewish life with you. There are so many ways to get involved; whether you're interested in Jewish study, ritual, social justice, or simply being part of an extended Jewish family, we warmly welcome you!

Netivot Shalom’s unique strength lies in our participatory ethos. We continue to live by our founding principles of participatory, egalitarian Judaism, where our members are empowered to take ownership over their Jewish lives and experiences and to create the community they desire for themselves. As rabbi, I serve to guide our community’s vision and direction so that our members can come together in shared purpose. It is also my privilege, as rabbi, to guide our members through life’s transitions and celebrations, whether it’s birth or death, illness or healing, b’nei mitzvah or wedding, and everything in between.

I look forward to getting to know you and to helping you find your place in our wonderful community. Wherever you might be on your Jewish journey, it is my hope that Netivot Shalom will be a warm home for you to deepen your Jewish life and to connect to others.

Rabbi Chai Levy

2024-2025 Standard Membership Categories & Pledges

Our standard membership pledges shown here are set so that we are able to meet our budgetary needs each year. We are not charging a separate building or security assessment this year, but encourage you to consider pledging more than the applicable amount in our Beyond Dues campaign. This will help others who cannot afford to pay their full dues assessment, and help us meet our budget goals.

NOTE: The following price chart is for new members only. New members pay one-half of regular dues for their first membership year.  Once you determine the appropriate dues level, you will make your selection using the check-boxes below.

1. One Adult Household (including children under the age of 25 living at home)

  • One adult, who has reached the age of 35 -- $1,900  - New Member price: $950
  • One adult, under the age of 35 -- $460 - New Member price: $230
  • One adult, who is a full-time student -- $190 - New Member price: $95

2. Two Adult Household (including children under the age of 25 living at home)

  • Two adults, at least one 35 years of age or older -- $3,800 - New Member price: $1900
  • Two adults, both under 35 years of age -- $920 - New Member price: $460
  • Two adults, both of whom are full-time students -- $380 - New Member price: $190

3. Associate Membership (member of another synagogue)

  • One adult -- $950 - New Member price: $475
  • Two adults -- $1,900 - New Member price: $950

4. Out of Town Memberships -- $380 per adult - New Member price: $190 per adult
NOTE: Out of town members are listed in the roster but do not receive High Holy Day passes unless they make special arrangements.

5. It’s Complicated

We know people often don’t fit neatly into categories. If your situation is not easily described by one of the categories listed above, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are eager to have you as members, and we consider special circumstances, as well as, financial hardships that require non-standard memberships.

If you are unable to select a membership level that applies due to extenuating financial circumstances, you will need to complete this form and a 2024-25 Dues Arrangement.  Skip sections Membership Categories, Beyond Dues and Total Pledge and complete all remaining questions starting with section, Adult 1.  You'll choose your Membership Category when completing the Dues Arrangement form. Once your forms have been processed by the Netivot Shalom office, we will provide you with a digital Welcome Packet and be in touch to discuss the arrangements you have made.

Feel free to contact mia@netivotshalom.org if you have questions before you start or experience any problems along the way.  Please note: All requests for dues adjustment and all information provided is kept strictly confidential.

Choose the category that best applies.

If you are able, we encourage you to consider pledging more than the applicable amount in our
Beyond Dues campaign. This will help others who cannot afford to pay their full dues assessment,
and help us meet our budget goals.

* Pay by Credit Card/ATM card (3% convenience fee will be added to credit cards; ATM/Debit cards are FREE of service charges.)

* Pay by eCheck (ACH, automatic deductions from your bank account) -  If you can’t pay your pledge in one lump-sum payment, we ask that you pay either by credit card or by eCheck, as that greatly lowers our administrative burden. NOTE: If selecting this option, you will need to upload and verify an eCheck to your account. If you would prefer to mail in a check, you will not be able to set-up a payment plan in ShulCloud.
