Letter from Rabbi Chai Levy

Shalom and welcome to Congregation Netivot Shalom!

Living through a pandemic has highlighted for all of us the importance of community, and I’m thrilled that you’re considering joining us. I look forward to sharing the beauty of Jewish life with you. There are so many ways to get involved; whether you’re interested in Jewish study, ritual, social justice, or simply being part of an extended Jewish family, we warmly welcome you!

Netivot Shalom’s unique strength lies in our participatory ethos. We continue to live by our founding principles of participatory, egalitarian Judaism, where our members are empowered to take ownership over their Jewish lives and experiences and to create the community they desire for themselves. As rabbi, I serve to guide our community’s vision and direction so that our members can come together in shared purpose. It is also my privilege, as rabbi, to guide our members through life’s transitions and celebrations, whether it’s birth or death, illness or healing, b’nei mitzvah or wedding, and everything in between.

I look forward to getting to know you and to helping you find your place in our wonderful community. Wherever you might be on your Jewish journey, it is my hope that Netivot Shalom will be a warm home for you to deepen your Jewish life and to connect to others.

Rabbi Chai Levy

2023-2024 Standard Membership Categories & Pledges

Our standard membership pledges shown here are set so that we are able to meet our budgetary needs each year. We are not charging a separate building or security assessment this year, but encourage you to consider pledging more than the applicable amount in our Beyond Dues campaign. This will help others who cannot afford to pay their full dues assessment, and help us meet our budget goals.

Two adults, both under 35 years of age -- $864

6. It’s Complicated

We know people often don’t fit neatly into categories. If your situation is not easily described by one of the categories listed above, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are eager to have you as members, and we consider special circumstances as well as financial hardships that require non-standard memberships. Please note: all requests for dues adjustment, and all information provided is kept strictly confidential.

New Member Rates (One-half of Normal Dues).  Please check the box that best applies.

If you are unable to select one that applies due to extenuating financial circumstances, please leave these boxes unchecked. Please proceed with filling out the rest of the form and complete the separate Dues Arrangement Form.

If you are able, we encourage you to consider pledging more than the applicable amount in our Beyond Dues campaign. This will help others who cannot afford to pay their full dues assessment, and help us meet our budget goals.

Please proceed with the rest of the form. We will bill you the above amount and we will be in touch to help you figure out a payment plan.
