Rabbi Gal Berner was ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. She has a doctorate in medieval Jewish history; has taught at American University, George Washington University, Emory, Swarthmore, and Reed College; and has served as Dean of Students of ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal.
