Mizrahi Sacred Music Session with Rachel Valfer

Rachel Valfer is a singer and oud player who brings depth of feeling to every song. She studied Maqam and Persian dastgah modal systems in Israel and Palestine for six years at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and sings with Qadim Ensemble and other groups in the Bay Area. Rachel likes to sing in Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, Greek, Turkish, Ladino, and Armenian. This event is drop-in, no cover, $10-$20 suggested donation. Co-sponsored by Congregation Netivot Shalom.
