September’s Mourner’s Studio takes place during the sacred month of Elul, a time for reflection, remembrance, and spiritual preparation for the New Year. As we approach the High Holidays and the Yizkor memorial service, we invite you into a space of creative remembrance and healing.
Are you experiencing the loss of a loved one, approaching a Yahrzeit, or navigating other significant losses—whether personal or communal? Join JSP Facilitator, Jeanne Reisman for the Mourner’s Studio, a transformative 2-hour workshop designed to explore loss and healing through the Jewish Studio Process, a unique methodology that builds creative capacity by combining art therapy practices with a re-imagined approach to Jewish learning.
- No prior experience in art-making or text study is necessary.
- Space is limited to 18 participants to ensure an intimate and supportive environment.

Jeanne Reisman is a Jewish Studio Project (JSP) facilitator, with an interest in utilizing the Jewish Studio Process for those experiencing grief and loss. She is an artist exploring mixed media, collage, and fiber. She is also a grandmother and retired primary care physician.
