Sacred Music Fellowship led by Ben Kramarz

Thursday night music mishmar is a weekly Jewish music jam that rotates between different community spaces in the East Bay. The intentions of this gathering are to musically energize and connect the East Bay Jewish community, promote local Jewish music, share new Jewish music, and prepare musically and spiritually for Shabbat. Acoustic instruments are encouraged. Lyrics and chords are projected so that everybody can sing and play along.

Ben Kramarz is a Berkeley, California based songleader, music educator,  and community organizer. He is the author of A Guide to Songleading and Communal Singing, head songleader of SingJam, and director of Sacred Music Fellowship.

Ben specializes in the facilitation of immersive music experiences for all ages and is especially passionate about helping communities to build sustainable musical cultures.

Ben holds a BA in Religious Studies and an MA in Folklore from the University of California, Berkeley.
