The Baal Shem Tov (also known as the Besht), the Jewish kabbalist, shaman, and master teacher who sparked a massive revival of Jewish life in 18th century Poland/Ukraine, fired the Jewish spiritual imagination in ways that continue to reverberate today. Rabbi Burt z”l spent the last three decades of his life immersing in all the available scholarship on the Besht’s life, studying his teachings as transmitted by his disciples, and evolving spiritual practices based on the Besht’s ethos of love, compassion, devotion, and personal connection with Eyn Sof, the Infinitude and Oneness of Creation. Take a look at the press release here.
