Brenda Goldstein and her mother, Alice Dreifuss Goldstein (joining us from Kentucky!), will talk about their recent trip to the German village where Alice was born and from where her family fled the Nazis in August, 1939. Speaking in German, Alice engaged with students and teachers at five German public schools, sharing her personal family experience and using her professional training as a historical demographer to promote dialogue about the holocaust and current human rights issues. Together, Alice and Brenda will share the insights they gained about possibilities for reconciliation through personal and social action.
