13th Jazz & Klez Summit:  A Musical Meeting of Top Jazz & Klezmer Bands

Two talented East Bay community bands, the Netivot Shalom Jazzkleztet and the Albany Jazz Big Band meet for a musical celebration of jazz and klezmer! The Jazzkleztet (2 pm) is a high-energy 13 person ensemble led by Natan Kuchar and Rabbi Stuart Kelman that performs original arrangements blending jazz and klezmer.

The Albany Jazz Big Band (3:20 pm) is a mighty 20-piece ensemble led by Bob Levenson that plays classic to modern instrumental jazz, including swing, Latin, and other genres. The band also features superb vocalists who perform songs from the Great American Songbook. (AlbanyJazzBand.org)
