This four session course will be an in-depth study of some of the core prayers we say each week on Shabbat.
Session 1:
Birchot Hashachar and Pesukei Dezimra: Warming up in order to connect to the divine. Or: how to get to the Shema and the Amida.
Session 2:
Musaf - the extended Kedusha. That's when most of us are in shul, so let's explore what's going on.
Session 3:
The four Amidas of Shabbat- Kabbalat Shabbat, Shacharit, Musaf and Mincha. The differences and similarities in the 4th beracha.
Session 4:
Havdalah - Exiting into the world beyond our own. Probably the most radical of all services.
Zoom link will be provided to registrants on Monday afternoons.
Please remember to bring your Shabbat Siddur.
